Christian Romance...
This is book three of the Sisters of the Quilt.
Hannah takes refuge with her Aunt who was shunned by the Amish community because of her love of music. Tragic events have driven Hannah from the Amish community and her family. She finds love and a family with Martin, his niece, and nephew. She also gets her education to become a nurse. When her sister Sarah calls her home for an emergency, she is reunited with her former fiancé, Paul. He is in the position to help Sarah with her mental health problems. Hannah has to decide which to choose Martin and the English way of life or Paul and the Amish way of life. She has never truly been able to let go of the Amish way. Her faith is tested and so is her patience. Bravely she must face the community that ostracized her, including her father.
This series has given readers a peak into the Amish way of life and their faith. This is the third book in the series and wraps up the Hannah saga. Cindy Woodsmall is a talented author, and I eagerly await her next book.

Summary: Beautiful Series
Comment: "When The Soul Mends" is the last book in the "Sisters Of The Quilt" series. I honestly can not tell you which of the three books I have enjoyed the most. Cindy Woodsmall writes in a way that touches your heart and holds your attention from the first chapter to the last in the series. The characters seem so real that you begin to feel the pain, lost, healing, hope and love through out the three books.

What I have enjoyed the most is the author has come full circle with the series. You are not left wondering what could of been? Or what happens to the characters? She rounds it out nicely.

Thank you Cindy for giving us "The Sisters of the Quilt" series. Your books have been a present to those of us who enjoy reading Christian fiction. Also reading about the Amish, Mennonite and Old Order Amish families.

Editorial Reviews:

Returning to the home she fled in disgrace, will Hannah find healing for the wounds of the past?

After receiving a desperate and confusing call from her sister, Hannah Lapp reluctantly returns to the Old Order Amish community of her Pennsylvania childhood.

Having fled in disgrace more than two years earlier, she finally has settled into a satisfying role in the Englischer world. She also has found love and a new family with the wealthy Martin Palmer and the children she is helping him raise. But almost immediately after her arrival in Owl’s Perch, the disapproval of those who ostracized her, including her headstrong father, reopens old wounds.

As Hannah is thrown together with former fiancé Paul Waddell to work for her sister Sarah’s mental health, hidden truths surface about events during Hannah’s absence, and she faces an agonizing decision. Will she choose the Englischer world and the man who restored her hope, or will she heed the call to return to the Plain Life–and perhaps to her first love?
